Clint Underhill has been stationed in Afghanistan while his girlfriend, Kimberly Roberts, has been back home in Evansville, Indiana. Unable to propose to her in person this holiday season, he sent an ambassador who could: Santa!
Kimberly's parents took her to the local Eastland mall for some Christmas shopping and got her to visit Santa. He asked Kimberly what she wanted for Christmas, and she said, "I want my boyfriend to come home from Afghanistan safely." Santa then reached behind his chair, pulled out a huge bouquet of flowers, got down on one knee, and read Kimberly a letter Clint wrote to her. He then gave her the ring and she cried and said yes and the mall burst into cheers!

Clint is supposed to return home in June, reports 14 News.
